Cecilia De Almeida Dias, 95, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2021 at UMass Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jose Julio de Moura. They happily shared forty-seven years of marriage together. Born in Quintas de Baixo, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Maria Rita de Almeida Dias. Cecilia was predeceased by three of her six brothers, Joao Gil, Agostinho Gil and Manuel Gil of Portugal.
Cecilia came to the United States in 1991. Cecilia belonged to Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Seekonk, Massachusetts. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother, she will be dearly missed. She enjoyed spending her days surrounded by her loving family and friends. She will eternally be remembered for her fun, loving spirit, and caring soul.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria Oriana Almeida (husband, Jose) of Rehoboth, MA, four sons, Armando Moura (wife, Aida) of Pawtucket, RI, Aristides Moura (wife, Debra) of New Bedford, MA, Jose Carlos Moura (wife, Ana Maria) of Portugal and Manuel Moura (wife, Deolinda) of Pawtucket, RI. Cecilia is also survived by her three brothers, Cesaro Gil, Carlos Gil and Jose Gil of Portugal, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and many other caring family members and friends.
Please join us for a Memorial Service Honoring Cecilia. Services will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021, 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI. Relatives and friends are invited to join in the Celebration of Cecilia's life.
